Firing in an electric kiln, he made traditional slipware \u0026amp; tin glazed majolica which was sold in Heals Department store in London as well as smaller shops. The family moved to Dorset in 1962 where they trained many students until the mid 1970s. David, Patricia and their sons Benjamin and Simon, ran the Eeles Family Pottery in Somerset making stoneware and porcelain pots in a three chamber wood fired climbing kiln. This method leaves a large amount of ash which adds to the glaze quality.
