The bowl has Chris's mark on the base.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eChris Carter was born in 1945 and has been making pottery since he opened his first studio in 1971. His work is widely exhibited  in leading galleries throughout the UK and also internationally. Work held in public collections include the Ashmolean, Oxford, Birmingham Art Gallery, The Walker Gallery, Liverpool and The Sainsbury Collection, Norwich. His work is featured in Modern Pots, Hans Coper, Lucy Rie and their Contemporaries: The Lisa Sainsbury collection, Thames and Hudson, 2000.
