Size:  23 cm tall, belly approx 14 cm wide.

Condition: Excellent condition, no chips cracks or restoration.

An attractive late medieval style flagon with stylised incised decoration of leaves and flowers, the inside and rim finished with an ash glaze.

Alex McErlain trained as a production studio potter with Ray Finch at Winchcombe pottery.  He was Senior Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University 1976-2010, and is currently a freelance studio pottery consultant and writer on the subject of ceramics and potters, often contributing the The Ceramic Review.
