French vintage studio pottery stoneware oil or kerosene lamp, c1980

Condition: Excellent condition, no chips crack or restoration. In full working order with wick. Chimney new.

This delightful oil/kerosene lamp, is marked on the base but we have not identified the maker. It is French and probably from the Puisaye region of France, where much of the fine hand made stoneware pottery of that country is made.

The lamp is made in reduction fired stoneware which brings out the bold and lustrous colours, enhanced by stamped decoration.
