This is a lovely tactile form which can be enjoyed for decoration or used as a tea light holder.
Kyoko Takahashi was born in Japan in 1959 but moved to England in 1990. She trained at Bradford College between 1997 and 2002. Her work explores the feel and texture of natural forms and is made in a mixture of porcelain and T material, with colour mixed through the body. The work is biscuit fired to 900 degrees and then sandpapered and fired to 1260 degrees.
